2025 NCC Summer Creamery Tour
Saturday, June 28th, 2025
Meet Late Morning (Time TBA)
Back by popular demand, or maybe just because we love driving around in our cars and eating ice cream, it's the Creamery Driving Tour! The tour will be on Saturday, June 28th and will begin at The Family Room in Laytonsville, MD. The Family Room is a charming small business that carries locally made gifts and goods, coffee drinks, and ice cream from South Mountain Creamery and Great Falls Creamery.
Our next stop on the tour will be at Norwood Ice Cream and Candy in Eldersburg, MD. Norwood Ice Cream is a small business that makes its delicious ice cream in small batches by hand in the shop using locally sourced ingredients. Norwood Ice Cream also sells candy made by Wockenfuss Candies, one of the oldest candy makers in Baltimore.
The last leg of the tour will take us to the Moo Cow Creamery at Walnut Ridge Farm in Middletown, MD. This is a family run working farm that makes and sells its own milk, cheeses, butter, ice cream, eggs, farm raised meats, and many other items in its farm store. Don't forget to bring a cooler in case you wish to purchase any dairy items and/or chocolates from any of these wonderful businesses.
