Can-Am Challenge Club Race at CTMP (Mosport)
Canadian Tire Motorsport Park - GPAbout this event
This year we're continuing the cross-border competition with the BMW Club Racing Canadian American Challenge. The Can-Am Challenge is a homage to the historic Can-Am series that spanned the Canadian and United States border from 1966-1974. Our 2025 Can-Am Challenge consists of five races
- May 16-18 - Watkins Glen International
- June 2-3 - NJMP (Thunderbolt)
- June 27-29 - Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport)
- August 9-10 - NJMP (Lightning)
- September 19-21 - Watkins Glen International
A team-based points scheme will determine the winner and the glorious Can-Am trophy will be presented for the country that wins the challenge! Last year, the Americans took the trophy home with them again. Let's bring the trophy home to Canada in 2025! Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, opened in 1961 is a former Formula One Canadian Grand Prix venue and today hosts the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. It’s an extraordinarily challenging, 2.5 mile, 10-turn rollercoaster ride!
This year the schedule is expected to include:
- Multiple practice sessions, qualify and a 60 minute enduro on Friday
- Warm-up, qualify and two sprint races on Saturday (the feature race will be the second race)
- Warm-up and a sprint race on Sunday
We'll be all wrapped up by 2:00pm on Sunday.
Registration is $895 CAD (includes HST). For those visiting fromt the US, that's approximately USD $625. Sign up soon! Your credit card will only be charged on the weekend of the event, and only if you attend and turn a wheel on the track, so there is no risk.
