We could provide an instructor for an A student if requested and an instructor is available.
Instructors: $125 charge for Saturday and Sunday only. If instructors sign up before June 1, a $25 discount will automatically be applied to registration. When you register for Saturday & Sunday an option for adding Friday will pop up. Adding Friday will add $150 to the registration cost.
Instructors are required to review the Ross Bentley instructor manual.
Important note to all students: Use of R compound tires is discouraged for a beginning student.
Driver's Schools are a great place to see just what you and your favorite car can do. The schools allow performance driving techniques coached from experienced instructors under the safest conditions possible. They are not races, but rather, a controlled environment in which you can push the envelope at your own pace. You'll learn how your car handles at high speed and under extreme cornering. Once you get a taste of how your car behaves under the intensity of track driving, you will be much better prepared for those highway "intense moments". Students are grouped into categories depending on skills and previous school experience for both in-class and on-track sessions. This is a great investment for any driver, male or female, young or "experienced". We've yet to hear of anyone leaving a Driver's Schools without feeling they were a better driver.
Note: Qualified students have the option driving on Friday August 1st- Advanced Study. Contact Registrar (Cole) for approval.
For participants, see information on the Buckeye web site or down below for the form needed for the technical inspection that is required and an article about Driver School Orientation. Also, go to this page: https://hpde-1st-timer.com with some good information from MSF, the Motorsport Safety Foundation. This info isn't just for first timers.
